Great Grill At A Great Price!

5.0

PROS

  • Nice Design
  • Not Built In China
  • Excellent Price

CONS

  • Warming Rack Size

BEST USES

  • You Name It

Comments:

This is a great grill for the money. I'd argue you can't find a better-built, better-featured grill in the $100 to $150 price range with a side burner. I also love the fact that Huntington's factories are in the US and Canada. We need more products built here at home. The only knock so far: the warming rack. I think it is a bit too big. Re-engineer it and shrink its designed depth size by about an inch or inch and a half. That way, it wouldn't come out as far and it would give better access to the back of the cooking area. At the smaller size the rack would still be deep enough to hold burgers, dogs, buns, etc. Huntington, you did a great job!! I'm going to recommend it everyone I see!

Great Grill and Made in America Too !

4.0

PROS

  • Fast Even Heating
  • Great For Small Family
  • Fully Accessable
  • Looks Good

CONS

  • Doesn't Have Thermometer
  • Bad Grease Catching
  • Cheap Igniter

BEST USES

Comments:

We cook on our grill about three times a week and this one meets our needs. The long lasting cast aluminum body is a great feature. The three missing items in my cons can be added in a short time at a small cost making it the perfect small grill for a family. Made in America employing American workers puts it over the top in reasonably priced grills. Top Shelf on all counts !

Top Shelf: Small Grill per Consumer Reports-July 2016

5.0

PROS

  • Perfect Small Grill

CONS

  • None

BEST USES

Comments:

Have had this grill for almost 2 months. This is the perfect small grill. Consumer Reports rated this grill as the top scoring small grill in the July 2016 issue. This is easy to assemble, clean up & to cook on. The how to assemble video for this model on this web site also gives the person doing the grill assembly a clearer picture of the ease of assembly.

Love this Grill especially my decision on purchasing one with the side burner; keeps kitchen/home cool... saving on Air Conditioning. Grill on stove; sautéing veggies on side burner! Would definitely recommend. -- Definitely need to have quality control, help packing associates to make sure ALL parts are included. Also when sending replacement parts; some where still missing; decided to use without

Good for price

3.0

PROS

  • Big Space
  • Easy To Assemble
  • Easy To Move
  • Easy To Use

CONS

  • Temperature Capability
  • Wide Spaces Between Grate

BEST USES

Comments:

It is a nice grill for everyday use. I am not sure how well it would work for thicker pieces of meat, as the temperature doesn't seem to get that high. Otherwise, easy to assemble, use, and clean. Overall, I'd buy it again for the same low price.

  • Heating Is Consistent
  • Burner Space
  • Grill Size
  • Customer Service

CONS

  • Plastic Parts Cheap
  • Igniter Breaks Easily

BEST USES

Comments:

Grill had missing/broken leg parts but Customer Service replaced those immediately. Very easy to work with. However, the main burner igniter broke after two uses and we now have to use a lighter or match to ignite the grill. Not very sturdy or safe.

The grill was easy to assemble. Directions with out written instructions leaves something to be desired. I went to the manufacture's web site: http://www.huntingtonbbq.com & they have a video on the assembly of this model # 630124. That made things easier assembling the grill. The materials are quality made. No rusting or damaged parts that has happened in the past on grills from China. This grill is built in Huntington Indiana in the good ole USA. I recommend this grill for anyone who is looking for a good grill for the money. It cooks every thing great & is easy to clean.

Good grill for the money

4.0

PROS

  • Great For Small Families
  • Great Value For Money
  • Functional

CONS

  • Too Small For Big Parties
  • No Temperature Dial
  • Not The Most Sturdy Feel

BEST USES

  • Grilling For 5 People

Comments:

Just had our first cook-out with this grill yesterday after assembling it in ~90 minutes. Bone-in chicken pieces done to 160-165 F in just under 20-minutes, uniformly cooked with some nice char, and was able to get some indirect cooking going with one burner off when I needed a some low-heat cooking to get the meat up to final temp. Did broccolini on the top rack, came out beautifully, tinged with charred goodness but still firm and green - which is the reason you grill veggies. Home assembly is manageable if you use the included paper manual and the online video in combination. I needed to use a flat-blade (standard) screwdriver to get the screws in despite the Phillips-like screw-head design. If you use a Phillips the screws will cam out or strip immediately and you won't be able to drive the screws through the sheet metal. This is a perfectly useful, small grill that is very well priced. The decent BTUs per burner combined with smaller size actually make this grill more efficient than a larger grill if you are cooking for 5 or fewer people. I think it's great if you are "between backyards" - i.e., you want an easy-to-use, affordable grill, you live in a rental house, you are going to remodel your yard in the near future, etc. You can get that massive 6-burner fancy grill later on when you build that outdoor kitchen in your dream house, but this no-frills grill will get you grilling NOW and last you a couple of seasons or more, managing 90% of your grilling needs. It's not going to be the centerpiece workhorse for a 10+ person backyard party or fundraiser.
