Four burners makes it easier to cook with indirect heat. My previous grill was a Vermont Castings, which was the best I had ever owned. It is still to early for me to tell, but I believe this one will become my favorite.

Comments:

We received this as a gift for our wedding and are very pleased. The look and feel of it are the main reason we put it on the registry. The setup was a little difficult because of the placement of some of the mounting holes, but I was using a cordless drill and a hand driver would've worked. I liked that they had Phillips/square drive hardware, but even with the square drive I was able to strip a couple screws. The other con was the instructions - I didn't have a problem with it not having words, but some more work could've gone into the drawings. I'm a technical writer by trade so I may be looking more into this. Anyway, I put it together in about an hour and a half, enjoy a beverage in the mean time. We have it fired up right now for a tasty dinner.

Solid performance grill

3.0

PROS

  • Great Performance

CONS

  • Difficult To Assemble

BEST USES

Comments:

The most difficult grill I have ever put together by a long shot! The instructions had no words only tiny schematic drawings that resembled an electrical schematic. It took me 5 hours of frustration to get it done and even at that I had to redo a couple parts. Performance is good though.

My wife purchased the grill for me from a hardware store and had it delivered. The delivery service damaged 2 different grills and the hardware store would not help resolve the issue. I contacted the manufacturer and they sent replacement parts free of charge!

I read numerous reviews, some not so good but I liked the cast iron lid, size of grill cooking area and a great price. I was surprised to find that there is a fairly even heat distribution. Its not perfect but very good. I dont have loss of heat out the back like a lot of people complained about. Its somewhat difficult to assemble alone, but with two people it was much easier. I've not had any flareups, I've cooked steaks, salmon, burgers, veggies, chicken etc and they all turned out great. I dont run the grill on high when cooking, I dont know if that is why I've had no flare up.dI'd recommend this grill and I believe its made in Huntington Indiana.

They make a great grill, quality product, but my problem is it was put togeather at the store and there are problrms with that. The drip pan that drains the grease to cup is put in wrong and I can't fix it it's bent or something. I guess I just have to live with it.

The grill looks great. But that's about where the good things end. Haven't had a good grilling experience yet. Lots of issues with flare up. Grease gets caught on flavor wav and burns anything on the grill. Difficult to adjust temperature to anything less 600 degrees. Tried an after market rotisserie. Grill flared up and burned the chicken and overheated the rotisserie control to the point of malfunction.
